SHORT SUMMARY

I was born in South Carolina but moved around a lot as a kid, with stints in Boston, Beijing, Shanghai, Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia, New York City, Philadelphia. I now live in New Jersey with my wife, two children, and two dogs.

I have worked at Freddie Mac, Agilex (government contractor acquired by Accenture), Orchard Platform (online P2P loans acquired by Kabbage, Inc. in 2018), and Kabbage, Inc. (Online small business loans acquired by American Express in 2020). In March of 2020, just as the pandemic was being declared, I was furloughed along with 80% of the company.

However, being furloughed turned out to be a blessing in disguise since our infant daughter's daycare was also forced to shutdown indefinitely. My wife works in healthcare and had to continue working, so I ended up staying at home to care for our daughter. Now she is three and a half years old, starting at a Chinese immersion school, and we also have a ten month old son! It's been a blast watching them grow but it's also time for me to re-enter the workforce.

I had always wanted to take a sabbatical to reassess my career and future goals. This experience turned out to be just that opportunity, and now I'm reenergized and ready to make a big impact!
